Students get to master many disciplines of Vedas such as Agamas, Rig, Yajur, Sama, and Atharva Veda. Depending on their areas of interest, students also pursue advanced specializations such as Tattva sastra (Vedic Philosophy). More than 1800 Vedic Scholars of extremely high calibre were educated and groomed under JIVA
HH Sri Swamiji has always emphasized on giving good spiritual foundation and inculcating good moral values in children. The main goal of Prajna classes is to educate children in our values and culture in a social and enjoyable atmosphere.
Schools for the Underprivileged
The modern world well acknowledges that education is a necessity for the development of an individual and the society. In India, good education is often a luxury, available only to the rich people and to those who can afford it at the cost of compromising other essential living. There are many neglected sections of society who cannot even imagine obtaining a reasonable education in this environment. For example, the tribal people in the remote villages are neither cognizant of the need for education nor can afford it. Identifying such people and providing them good education at affordable cost is a huge challenge by all standards.
Schools for Blind
“With 7.8 million blind people in India, the country accounts for 20 per cent of the 39 million blind population across the globe as of 2012” quotes Deccan Herald3, a regional newspaper in South India. Although, around 300,000 blind children under the age of 16 live in India, the infrastructure to address the needs of this population barely exist. As a result, many blind students were deprived of basic education and livelihood leading to a bleak future.
Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji understood the importance to immediately address this problem and decided to create an infrastructure for the blind children with virtually no barriers. His Holiness envisioned to provide free education, free boarding, and free career guidance for the blind children and thus, Nethra Vidyalaya was born.
Cancer Screening Since 2007, across 900 villages, JET began a Breast & Cervical Cancer early detection program that screened 48,000 underprivileged and economically downtrodden women, who never had any prior access to healthcare. Consequently, more than 5000 positive cases in early stages were surgically cured for free of cost. Chinna Jeeyar’s deep interest in preventing Cancer with early detection, prompted him to engage in detailed discussions with Cancer Research Scientists and Oncology Specialists from Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey during his visit at the facility in October 2009.
JET also operates a 80-bed hospital called Jeeyar Integrated Medical Services (JIMS) that can provide 75,000 patients a highly quality healthcare at extremely affordable cost every year.
In India, where the notion of Human Organ donation is considered a social stigma, Chinna Jeeyar actively promotes multi-Organ donation campaign and enlisted more than 50,000 pledges. JET frequently conducts free medical camps, dental camps, animal welfare camps, blood donation camps all over the world.
The fundamental values of Chinna Jeeyar entirely resonates with protecting mother earth, and safeguarding our precious ecosystem. With a deep understanding on the need to protect our biome, and an ardent proponent of Carbon Reduction Program and efficient GreenHouse Gas conservation, His Holiness launched the Green Kumbh Yatra along with Dr. Braulio Ferrriera de Souza Dias, Executive Secretary of the Convention on Biological Diversity. Green Kumbh Yatra, which is organized by Living Planet Foundation, is an unique program that highlights the conservation of biodiversity across several countries in the world. The aim of Green Kumbh is to establish a powerful focal point around which people can save environment and build a clean, healthy, diverse world. This Yatra, includes traversing on foot and non-motorized vehicles as much as possible, across several countries and is expected to reach South Korea for the next “Conference of the Parties” meeting in 2014.
Tirumala Venkateswara Temple in Tirumala Hills, India is the most visited place of worship and the second richest pilgrimage center of any faith in the world after Sri Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Kerala, India. Around 40 million people visit the temple and the path to the temple included 7 to 9 miles trekking on the sacred hills. These hills used to be heavily polluted with plastic water bottles and other plastic products causing severe environmental hazards and His Holiness initiated a trekking with 70,000 devotees to highlight the use of plastic alternatives and to completely reduce plastic usage. The hills are now in the visible transformation stage with pilgrims embracing plastic alternatives protecting the environment.

Natural Disaster Relief Services
With natural disasters frequenting all over the world, JET initiated programs to train people to help others in such adverse situations. JET trained more than 200,000 volunteers in India as ‘quick response team’ to be readily available to serve the victims of natural calamities. JET actively worked in rescue and rehabilitation operations in major natural disaster relief activities such as 2001 Gujarat earthquake, 2004 Tsunami relief, and 2013 New Jersey Sandy relief. As part of the rehabilitation program new houses were built for people who lost all their property and houses. 88 such houses were built for Gujarat earthquake victims, 50 houses were built for Tamilnadu Tsunami victims, and 83 rehabilitation centers were established for 1996 Konaseema cyclone victims. For 2013 New Jersey Sandy relief activity, 9000 food packets were prepared in collaboration with New Jersey Food Bank.

Global Peace Program and Personality Development for All
Githa Jyothi is a global peace program devised by Swamiji with the goal of revitalizing and boosting the all-round improvement in the standards of human thought. In the name of religion, caste, group etc., many of the so called leaders are dividing people, to enjoy their own selfish ends. Human race came into existence with ‘co-existence ‘ as its base of living. But, today, the human race has almost no trace of the aforementioned basic principles of living. Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji devised a structured personality development program, Githa Jyothi, that was well received by more than 30 million people. and 7.5 million people directly participated to benefit from the program. The overall aim of the program is to deliver a practical methodology to condition human body, mind, and soul and consequently, to develop tolerance, joy of sharing, non-violence, attitude of gratitude towards environment, and mutual respect for all living beings.
